Sorry it has been so long since I posted last, so this one is going to be kind of long. Our month started out great with me and Shadie going to the "Nutcracker" it was so much fun. We went with a friend and her little girl and had a blast. My very good friend, Becky Erickson was the lead Sugar Plum Fairy, so we went to the Sugar Plum Tea Party and got our pictures taken with her and her dance partner. It was a special day for me and Shadie. Then we set up our Christmas tree. Grandma Marilyn came over and we did all of our Family Traditions. Virgil also had Basketball in November and December. He had a GREAT coach and a WONDERFUL team that was really successful. He had so much fun and learned so much, seeing that this was his first year playing. He really picked up on it quit quick. He had so much fun and another big thanks to Coach Steve.



RASMUSSEN Family Christmas Party" Was a blast! We started with a "Talent Show", all the families participated and all the talents had a Christmas Theme. My sister Tami and her family announced that they would be adding a new addition to there family in June, we were so excited to here of there news. The birth mom is the same birth mother of Zac and Aria, she is such a special person. Also "Santa Came". Then we exchanged gifts for the cousins and then, we exchanged the gifts from the siblings. We started a few years ago, that you had to make the gift and not just go out and buy it, this was a great thing. It makes Christmas have much more meaning when you put that much thought into your gifts. Jared and I drew Wade and I put together a Scrapbook, oh my gosh, 225+ pictures, it was quite a project, but so much fun, to be able to do that for him. We received a Rocking Chair that had be refinished by my sister Shea. It was beautiful and will fit on our front porch perfect. Then we gave dad and mom there gift and then eat dinner and watched Christmas movies until late. It was so much fun and made Christmas so special.

"Roanie Jane" She is on the move (just rolling) but she was able to get over to where the girls were coloring and got a marker, and this was the out come. Good thing the markers were non-toxic. Christmas Eve was wonderful. Dad and Mom where able to spend Christmas with us this year and it is always so much fun to have them here. Here are the kids in there Christmas PJ's. Christmas Morning! Started for us at 4:00 am, with the kids outside Roanie's door waiting for her to wake up! Finally at 4:45 we got her up and started to open presents. We started a new tradition, that Jared reads the Christmas Story from the Bible, before we open presents to bring the true meaning of Christmas into the home along with all the fun presents given by Santa, Dad and Mom. The kids had a blast, and so did Jared and I. Grandpa and grandma also had fun. Also Jared made Shadie and Maggie a buck bed for Christmas! He put them on a scavenger hunt to find it, all set up in there room. They were so excited and it turned out beautiful. Thanks JP for being such a great dad! The rest of the day was wonderful. Shortly after opening presents and having breakfast we headed for Lane and Sue's! Grandma Marilyn came over and we exchanged gifts with the family. We got some really cool things and some way needed things. They always think of the best gifts and spoil EVERYONE, (including JP and I). We also had lunch with the Parker's and Lane and Sue invited the Missionaries over for Christmas day, and it was so much fun. One Elder was from Tonga and the other was from Micronesia. They had a Baptism in the morning and then afterwards headed to the Ranch, they were so funny, they showed up in shorts with thermos on underneath. They also gave us a demonstration on how to open a coconut, which was really cool and then left us with a great Christmas thought, from the Book Of Mormon. It was a really neat experience. Thanks Elders for that. Later in the evening we had Bret and his kids over for Christmas Dinner. It was a good night. We had the traditional dinner, Roasted Turkey with all the trimmings (Roanie really liked the bones). Then the kids all dug into there Christmas loot and Virgil started ASAP building the Tool Box that his aunties had got for him. He was able to talk grandpa Rasmussen into helping him, and they finished it in good time. IT WAS A WONDERFUL DAY! Best Christmas Ever!!
